John M. Lynch has been a practicing attorney since 1969. He
is primarily engaged in the practice of commercial litigation
with an emphasis on valuation for eminent domain and tax abatement
litigation. He extensive knowledge of real estate law also includes
development, environmental, land use and zoning; sales and use
tax; and municipal law. He also has experience with a variety
of administrative law issues, including classification and valuation
of commercial, industrial, special purpose and utility property,
signature office buildings, apartment complexes, hotels, regional
shopping centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities,
tax collection, tax foreclosure, and general litigation before
trial and appellate courts and administrative agencies concerning
the same.
Mr. Lynch's representative clients include a broad range of
public and private technology, software, investment, insurance,
manufacturing, construction and real estate development companies.
He has also represented various municipalities in Massachusetts
in complex commercial real estate, tax- exempt status disputes,
negotiation of PILOT Agreements, personal property and utility
valuation matters.
A graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Mr. Lynch has been
admitted to practice before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial
Court and the United States District Court for the District
of Massachusetts. He is an active member of the Associated Industries
of Massachusetts, serving as both Director and Vice-Chairman
in recent years. He is the Faculty Chairman of the Massachusetts
Continuing Legal Education, Inc., where he also serves as a
frequent lecturer in the area of commercial litigation, particularly
eminent domain and tax abatement litigation. |
