Ernest P. DeSimone has been a practicing attorney for 29 years
specializing in eminent domain litigation. After graduating
from Suffolk University Law School with honors, Mr. DeSimone
became an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts. As both an Assistant and Special Assistant Attorney
General for 12 years, Mr. DeSimone represented various state
agencies within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in land damage
litigation involving the taking of all types of property. Currently,
Mr. DeSimone's practice is limited to representation of plaintiff
landowners in eminent domain actions.
Mr. DeSimone has appeared on behalf of both public and private
clients in some of the largest eminent domain cases in Massachusetts.
In addition to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he has also
represented various cities and towns as Associate Town Counsel.
Mr. DeSimone is a frequent lecturer in the area of eminent domain
litigation on behalf of various organizations including Massachusetts
Continuing Legal Education, Inc.
He has been admitted to practice before the Massachusetts Supreme
Judicial Court, the United States District Court for the District
of Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals for the
First Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He has also
been specially admitted to litigate cases in the United States
District Court for the District of New Hampshire and the United
States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Mr.
DeSimone has also been appointed an arbitrator with the American
Arbitration Association and Commonwealth Mediation and Conciliation,
Inc. |
